Job description

We are recruiting a thermomechanical calculation engineer on a permanent contract to join our team as a consultant. You will be working for one of our clients, a major player in the aeronautics and defense sector.

Within the Aerostructures Technical Department, your mission will be within the methodology and sizing criteria team on a space vehicle demonstrator project. You will be involved in the analysis of mechanical resistance and the definition of thermal protection, in conjunction with mechanical, thermal and aerodynamic experts.

Your main missions will be as follows:

Carry out temperature field calculations on the vehicle structure;
Integrate aerothermal fields from aerodynamic studies;
Carry out mechanical strength calculations (structural analyses, material resistance);
Conduct thermo-mechanical behavior studies to validate the robustness of the structure;
Participate in the optimization of thermal protections;
Write calculation notes and provide technical reporting to the team.

Professional skills sought

Engineer specializing in mechanics, thermal or structural calculation with experience (1 year or explicit internship in the field) in finite element calculation applied to thermal and/or mechanics
Knowledge of thermal phenomena and thermo-mechanical analyses
